Apere oodua, this is the ancient throne which predates that of every existing king. It is no doubt embodied with divine mandates to rule all humanity at large. It is also a safe haven in this world of distress.
Apere Oodua, a throne that was first occupied by Oduduwa, the forebear of the entire Yoruba race and subsequently his descendants. Ooni Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi Akande Ojaja(II) is the current occupier of the sacrosanct throne.
This old rugged throne has suffered a whole lot of criticism triggered by envy, as it is sometimes belittled to be on the same level with that of some other Yoruba king(s) through doctored and baseless histories, yet this throne has always found its way to the top and thus uphold its supremacy.
It has been clarified that the entire Yoruba race is offshoot of Ife, it is now interesting to know that it is from this Ancient seat that all descendants of Oduduwa were given the authority to go forth and enlarge his coast to whenever the sole of their feet could touch. Till today, leopard will still be found in the palace of Arole oodua as a symbol of authority and supremacy.
